Are you a live musician?

Many ads ask for live musicians for events.

But what are performing musicians that are not live?

    I'm not sure I've ever seen when zombie musicians were in demand.

    God, I hope people who play music on their iPods aren'ts considered to be "live" musicians!

    And certainly when people post an ad for a live musician, they are not looking for applications by recordings!!!

    I've wondered about this. I always wondered if they meant acoustic, instead of electric? I dunno. I am an acoustic musician who favors dead composers, does that make me a live musician?
